L.Personatus

hi guys,

i came to this forum because i have some questions about the L.Personatus

i got since 2 weeks 1 male and 2 females,they are now living in a terra 60/60/60 ! i know its to small the new terrarium is almost finished the build and it is 100/50/60.

because i come from holland and the haitian lizards are noo popular lizards here i can`t find much informations about them, normally i would´nt buy animals before i know something about them but i always loved the lizards and now or terrible petshop that sells some reptiles got these from a sister shop and they didnt know anything about them soo i got them and there looking good as far now

i have a lot of gecko´s here and maybe i talk about them later because i got some new sealand species that you maybe like because they are rare in the hobby

but to come to my point

my question±

i want to hang some lamp in the new cage but i want too know the exact all around temperature and which uv lamps do you use for your maskleguane

which substrate is the best to use

whats the best humidity to have in the enclosure

and i know give my leguane crickets,mealworms,big fly´s,and mothworms what can i give them more for a health balance

Ich kam zu diesem Forum, weil ich einige Fragen über die L. personatus haben

Ich habe seit 2 Wochen 1 Rüde und 2 Hündinnen, sind sie leben jetzt in einer terra 60/60/60! Ich kenne seine kleine das neue Terrarium ist fast fertig gebaut und es ist 100/50/60.

weil ich von Holland und kommen der haitianischen Eidechsen sind noo beliebten Eidechsen hier i `t finden Sie viele Informationen über sie können, in der Regel i would'nt kaufen Tiere, bevor ich etwas über sie zu wissen, aber ich liebte immer die Eidechsen und jetzt oder schrecklich petshop, die verkauft einige Reptilien bekamen diese von einer Schwester einkaufen und sie wusste nichts über sie soo ich habe sie und es sieht gut aus, wie weit nun

Ich habe eine Menge von Geckos hier und vielleicht kann ich über sie später zu sprechen, weil ich ein paar neue Sealand Arten, die Sie vielleicht gerne haben, weil sie in das Hobby selten sind

aber zu meinem Punkt kommen

meine Frage ±

Ich möchte einige Lampen in den neuen Käfig hängen, aber ich möchte auch wissen, die genaue rund um Temperatur und die UV-Lampen benötigen Sie für Ihr maskleguane verwenden

das Substrat ist die am besten zu nutzen

whats the best Feuchtigkeit in das Gehäuse

und ich weiß, gebe meine Leguane Grillen, Mehlwürmer, große Fliege und mothworms Was kann ich ihnen mehr für ein Gesundheits-Balance

Hey Daniel,

nice that you got a new terrarium, but it is still to small. I would prefer 120x60x60 or more for one pair.
Females and males are both very territorial so it is the best to keep only one pair, try to get rid of the 2nd girl (selling), I had a few request so maybe you get lucky.

The normal Temperature should be between 26 and 32°C, there can be also a few spots where it is about 24°C. I would use a HQI/HCI lamp and a Bright Sun Lucky Reptile or a Solar Raptor, if you google it you know what I am talking about.

The best substrate is a mix of normal earth, Sand, bark and these small pebbles. Try to get one half of the cage with sand, the other side with earth, then put bark and pebbles on it.

humidity between 40 und 70% is nice, during the day 40-50 at night a bit higher.

You can feed them a lot of diffrent food. Try cockroaches, crickets, locusts, flies and other non-venomous insects. Both of my L. personatus used to eat strawberries, different leaves, banana and nectarines (You can try it, sometimes it works, sometimes not)
